We provide our students the best of what our own faculty has to offer as well as the expertise of some of NYC’s finest cultural partners. Beginning in November, students join together weekly in interest-based Urban
Seekers clusters of their choosing. They explore a topic and develop a multi-disciplinary project which may include social action projects that have an impact on the community.

Urban Seekers is based on the School-wide Enrichment Model (SEM) developed by Joseph Renzulli (Renzulli,1977; Renzulli & Reis, 1985, 1997). It is an enrichment program for academically gifted and talented students.  PS 15 has extended this program across the school to develop the strengths and talents of all students. SEM provides enriched learning experiences by: developing talents in all children; providing advanced-level enrichment experiences; and providing advanced follow-up opportunities based on students’ strengths and interests.

Check out our fall Urban Seekers cluster video share highlighting the social action projects our students took on!
